Paul Hobbs is one of the most influential winemakers of our time, but he started from humble roots. As a child in upstate New York, he tended his own plot on the family farm and sold his produce at local farmer’s markets each morning before school. This upbringing, however, gave him both a solid work ethic and a close connection to the land. As a winemaker he has been a leader in sustainability, and the wines he crafts perfectly express the terroir of their origins. Wine expert James Bornn hosts this seminar on how Hobbs is making his mark on winemaking in California. Guests will sample world-class Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon from the state.
Wines featured: - Crossbarn Chardonnay - Russian River Chardonnay - Crossbarn Pinot Noir - Russian River Pinot Noir - Crossbarn Cabernet Sauvignon - Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon - Viña Cobos "Marchiori" Malbec - Viña Cobos "Cobos" Malbec This seminar is sponsored by Paul Hobbs.
